Ann-Marie

Ann-Marie was originally a Teaching Assistant for mainstream and SEN schools where she took an interest in Occupational Therapy. During this time, Ann-Marie was exposed to physical treatment, where she would help assist children and young adults find coping mechanisms for the mind & body. Along this exposure, she began forming an interest in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which then led to her passion in martial arts which she still practices today. Ann-Marie decided to expand her interests and study Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tui Na massage. Doing this, gave Ann-Marie a deeper understanding of the body, learning how to notice muscular, skeletal imbalances in which she can treat accordingly, using a range of different Tui Na massage techniques.

Often, martial art training resulted in injuries over time and therefore Ann-Marie has been on the receiving end of therapy for a while. Understanding the results of treatment for the body, the mind follows and consistency allowed Ann-Marie to then expand and begin her journey as a therapist into the therapy world. Offering Tui Na (Chinese physical therapy) Cupping/Fire Cupping and Medical Acupuncture. Working amongst athletes almost daily, Ann-Marie is versed in treating a range of injuries in accordance to different sports disciplines.
